ASSAM -MEGHALAYA & ARUNACHAL PRADESH
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT GUWAHATI AIRPORT -SHILLONG (130 Kms / 3 ½ hrs drive)
Meet and greet at Guwahati Airport/Station and drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 02: DAY TRIP TO CHERRAPUNJEE (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way) Today morning after breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit DwanSyiem view point, Noh kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco park etc. Later drive back to Shillong. On the way visit to Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls. In the evening, you can go for shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 03: SHILLONG –TEZPUR (260 kms / 6 ½ hrs) After breakfast transfer to Tezpur. Check in Hotel. If time permits visit Mahabhairab Temple, Agnigarh. Overnight at Tezpur.
DAY 04: TEZPUR – DIRANG (185 Kms / 6 ½ hrs) After breakfast drive to Dirang. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre, Hot Water Spring. Check in Hotel. Evening free at Leisure.Overnight at Dirang.
DAY 05: DIRANG – TAWANG (155 Kms / 6 hrs) Morning drive to Tawang.Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the JaswantGarh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th BatallionGarhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.
DAY 06: TAWANG Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GOLDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping.Overnight in Tawang.
DAY 07: TAWANG – BOMDILA (180 Kms / 6 hrs) Early morning after breakfast drive to Bomdila. Check in Hotel. Later visit BomdilaMonastery.Evening free at leisure.Overnight in Bomdila.
DAY 08: BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA (270 Kms / 7 ½ hrs) After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in Hotel.Evening free at leisure.Overnight in Kaziranga.
DAY 09: KAZIRANGA Early morning go for Elephant ride in the park. (Elephant riding time: 1st Ride- 5.15-6.15 AM; 2nd ride: 6.30-7.30 am) Return for Breakfast. After breakfast free for leisure or you can visit tea plantations, rubber plantations.After lunch Jeep safari in the Central Range.Overnight at Kaziranga.
DAY 10: KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI (250 Kms / 5hrs) After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check in Hotel.Afternoon visit KamakhyaTemple.Evening enjoy sunset River cruise over the river Brahmaputra (Cruise is subject to weather conditions & availability, PAYMENT WILL BE DIRECT). Overnight in Guwahati.
DAY 11: GUWAHATI AIRPORT DEPARTURE After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport for onward journey. TOUR ENDS HERE.
